Trump is correct about Amazon being a monopoly. . .and that they should be taxed! Many Internet Ecommerce stores are putting brick and mortar stores out of business. . .partly do to shopping conveyance, but also because of the unfair nontaxable advantage. I believe the online stores should have to charge a regulated tax. . .not a tax amount that differs from state to state, but a set tax amount of let's say 7%! The reason the tax amount should not differ is because it puts a undo hardship for online stores to keep up with different sales tax increments.
As for Amazon. . .I know for a fact that their practices regarding Book Authors is in violation of intellectual property laws! They are thieves!
Here is an example. If you are a author you have a choice between two different plans of Author compensation first is 30% royalties that allows you to submit your book with many other stores. Second compensation plan is 70% royalties giving Amazon exclusive rights.
Now where the intellectual property theft comes into play has to do with the 70% royalty compensation plan giving them exclusive rights! The crime takes place when a unsuspecting author begins to fill out the online application. After filling in the title. . .subtitle. . .authors name etc. You come to question number five, I think it is where you are mandated to check one of two boxes to proceed. The clincher is the legal explanation as to what each box pertains to is where the intentional trickery applies.
I am a children's book author and when my graphic designer came to question number five and checked a box she discovered that once the box was checked / clicked. . .it could not be unchecked! When this happened she brought it to my attention. When I asked her what each box choice pertained to she reread the explanations and explained that one box gave a customer the right to purchase the electronic book and loan it out to a friend for up to 14 days. The other box choice gave permission to Amazon to put the book in Amazon's library!
The criminal act takes place in regards to the legal definition that is extremely confusing as to which box represents which allowance. Whether giving permission for the 14 day loan program or Amazon's library! When you factor in the confusion regarding the explanation of each box with the fact that you are unable to unclick your choice / change your mind, this is the first part of the criminal act in my opinion. The second part of the criminal act is the 70% licensing agreement makes the author believe they can not change their mind. . . take their book down without being penalized in the form of a 90 or 120 day noncompete clause. In my case my graphic designer thought she had clicked onto the 14 day loan program when in fact she put me in Amazon's library. The trickery of words utilized in Amazon's explanation for each box to blame. Since my book was now in Amazon's library they financially benefitted from the book because it was one more book increasing their library selection. . .the huge selection of books utilized for selling annual memberships! At the end of the day Amazon benefitted while I an Author who spent a lot of time, energy, hardwork and money writing the book was defrauded out of my 70% compensation!!!
The author does have a choice once they discover the box error to take book down but they are penalized by the license agreement that will not allow the author to post the electronic book with any other online store for up to 90 or a 120 days! What is interesting is their license agreement gives them the right to change the terms anytime they want!
Amazon also treats their product vendors unfairly. . .they are crooks and I would love. . .love. . .love to see Trump's organization open a competing online store!!!
As for Bezos owning the Washington Post, Trump is right it is a toy for him being utilized to push his personal agenda!
The (Clintons) have enough already .
Their empire is growing and none of its for you (us) .
Stop this now and vote Trump (Republican)
Give someone else a chance to make some of those millions of dollars that they control . Trump is for the better of the people .
Vote for and bring up term limits on these long time people in the US Government positions . And lets get new ideas working for us the people .
