With that focus, we had a great conversation this morning. While we were honest about our few differences, we recognize that there are also many important areas of common ground. We will be having additional discussions, but remain confident there’s a great opportunity to unify our party and win this fall, and we are totally committed to working together to achieve that goal.
We are extremely proud of the fact that many millions of new voters have entered the primary system, far more than ever before in the Republican Party's history. This was our first meeting, but it was a very positive step toward unification.

Paul Ryan's press conference after the meeting
In time GOP will unite .
ReplyGive it time .
Ryan is right it cant happen in 45 min.
Lets not fake unity.
Lets build a GOP that is strong .
First of all the GOP establishment is corrupt and out of touch with the American worker. . .republican voter and outside voters looking for a political home! Donald Trump has given a home to new voters. . Independents and even fed-up democrats! Trump doesn't need Paul Ryan. . .the GOP. . .or any other person who thinks he should change who he is to fit into their little boys club. They need him!
Trump is his own man. . .a self-made man! Something this group of corrupt politicians could not possibly understand!!!
So having said that. . .I do not agree with you. . .it has not been 45 minutes! Donald Trump has been running for president since he announced it on June 16, 2015!
The Good Old Boy Club just can't stand the thought of a honest to goodness brilliant man coming in to Washington to actually work and actually accomplish something!
The reason this country is in such a disarray has everything to do with a corrupt and nonproductive group of people sitting up on Capital Hill!
Please. . .go spread your agenda somewhere else!!!
Sincerely,
Ms. Laura L. Johnson
ReplyTo Whom It May Concern:
You know what I find interesting? Is this press conference being held by Paul Ryan in regards to drugs and addiction! In addition to his lame ass excuse as to why he has yet to endorse Mr. Trump!
Interesting because I have never heard Ryan or others discuss this problem in the spotlight until Mr. Trump began bringing it to the forefront after winning New Hampshire.
Paul Ryan in my opinion is an arrogant piece of work that seems to believe he is so relevant. In my opinion most senators and congressmen at this point are irrelevant. . .do to a lack of substance and accomplishments!
I'm only interested in statesmen. . .people with wisdom and knowledge in both business and government! Leaders with the Americans best interest at heart! These so called big shots believe they are in the same league with Donald Trump. When in fact if they were living in reality they would acknowledge their poor performance as politicians is what woke the American people up!!!
Woke them up. . .to the inefficiency of the House and Senate. That in order to turn this country around it is necessary to pick a true leader with a highly impressive resume and proven track record. . .instead of a bunch of overrated politicians who are bought and paid for whores of campaign contributers called the Washington network of Special Interest.
As for Social Security. . .Trump needs to demand that all IOU's be called in from politicians and the government who has constantly borrowed from a program illegally!
It is called misappropriation of funds!
There was a PBS Special 15 to 20 years ago addressing the social security lock box filled with IOU's.
The majority of the IOU's were from senate and congressional committees that needed funds for a project, program and or entitlement program they were passing! From what I understand the funds were never returned!!!
If you want to fix social security, you can begin by calling in the IOU's (loans) or arrest the criminals who misappropriated funds that were intended for one purpose and were diverted for another.
It is fraud. . .out and out fraud! No different then robbing a savings account in a financial institution. It is considered embezzlement and money laundering!
You can not mandate the majority of the American public to give you funds for a specific purpose. . .like a retirement account, then divert those funds for a totally different purpose and when the funds are gone and social security (the so called publics retirement account) is empty say to the public we are sorry it is insolvent!!!
I wish Trump would get back to his rallies. . .and stop wasting time with the idiots in Washington! The people who continue to insist winning over the establishment is necessary to get things accomplished after being elected.
Simply because the American public is fed-up with both Democrats and Republican do nothing non productive politicians!!!
I believe if you build it they will come. Well Mr. Trump you have built a huge movement like no other in history!!! You need to keep your eye on the prize. . .keep on accomplishing your goals to achieve the ultimate reward for the American people called the White House!
Paul Ryan and the rest of the village idiots will either follow or be ultimately thrown out of their positions by the American people.
You have held out the olive branch long enough. . .they do not deserve to save face!
Your attitude Mr. Trump should be the voices have spoken for the republican party by we the people. And dare the House and Senate to intentionally with forethought and malice block your necessary legislation.
Remember Mr. Trump when you get into the Oval Office and begin to design a comprehensive plan necessary to dig this country and the American public out of debt. . .bring the plan to the American public!!!
We've got your back!
Hope the observations and suggestions help!
Sincerely,
Ms. Laura L. Johnson
I agree with Laura - enough of the Paul Ryans of the world. Time to get down to business and make America great again.
ReplyThank you. . .blue! You are right. . .it is time to get down to business!
I believe all this Capital Hill drama is meant as a distraction!
Remember we have not made it through the republican convention yet! I do not trust the republican establishment!
Trump needs to watch his back!!!
Sincerely,
Ms. Laura L. Johnson
Laura, you're so right! Replay 8:10 to see Ryan's sigh to himself (picked up by mic!) which says: "Damn, this is meant to be about my "me too" anti-drugs proposal, and Trump has taken over my press conference!" The guy's a minnow compared to the Trump whale, and everyone knows it! NoBull Lord.
